Historic Night at the Oscars: ‘Sinners’ Breaks Records, ‘One Battle After Another’ Takes Top Prize

The 98th Academy Awards were hosted by Conan O'Brien for the second time in a row. Sinners received 16 nominations breaking the record of 14 set by All About Eve, Titanic, and La La Land. The new category of Best Casting was added starting with this ceremony, bringing the number of categories to 24.
