With the start of school just behind us, freshmen here in Columbus have come in with plenty of questions. Luckily, the seniors have plenty of answers. Last week, we asked freshmen what was on their minds as they adjusted to high school life, and then turned to seniors for advice. From big questions to small questions, these inquiries were as curious as you’d expect, and the answers were as honest as the seniors could give. So, what do freshmen really want to know, and what wisdom do the seniors have to share? Let’s take a look.

Senior Answers
If you could tell the freshmen version of yourself four years ago anything, what would you tell them?
- Aiden Artiles
I’d tell my freshman self that his first year grades are important, straight B’s are not okay.
I’d also tell him that he’s going to experience friendships and relationships that he never thought were possible, and he’s going to mature into a person that people love and depend on. High school is going to be what shapes your character, and it’s all going to turn out okay.
- Adrian Perez
How do you balance school, sports, and hanging out with friends without getting stressed out?
- Leonel Martinez
Make time for each. So don’t overcrowd yourself with work or extracurriculars, and give yourself time and room to do everything.
- Thomas Cruz
How was your high school experience as you became more involved in the brotherhood?
- Marco Diaz
As I got more involved in Columbus, I grew to meet new people, many from Columbus, but also many people from a whole bunch of schools. Not only this, but the further I went into Columbus, the more I learned about responsibility and playing as a team.
- William Zayas
As a senior, what would be your advice to all freshmen here in Columbus?
- Cyrus Alba
Join a club, any club. Just find out what you like and what you don’t like to do, if you don’t know already, also helps with making new friends. Also, go to Beach Bash at least once.
- Christopher Gonzalez
What’s it like knowing this is your last year in Columbus and that this is the last year you’ll be able to see your brothers every day?
- Eason Brohee
So this is my last year, and I'm really excited for what this year has to hold. Even though I won't be able to see my brothers every single day, we are going to stay in contact. We have already mentioned this, and we cannot wait to see how our lives shape in the future and to see that brotherhood in action outside of Columbus's walls.
